Frame your face in gentle folds of silky-soft merino wool with this amazing neck wrap. It does a warm and cuddly job at keeping the chilly wind at bay, while adding drama and elegance to your wardrobe.
This scarf is made from 100% merino wool and silk chiffon, and is hand-made using both needle-felting and wet felting techniques. The structure of this scarf is very organic, and is intended to have irregular unfinished edges. I like to call these scarves,”Kelp Scarves”, because they remind me of the luscious kelp forests in Monterey, California. It is a completely unique and one-of-a-kind creation of wearable art.

ABOUT FELTING . . .
This scarf was made through the traditional art of wet felting. It is a technique that merges raw wool fibers to form a solid non-woven material called felt. Starting with silky-soft merino wool roving, I combine hot water, soap, and agitation, to create the felt. This particular scarf utilizes some nuno felting techniques, which also uses and addition of silk chiffon which is felted with the scarf to create a strong, lasting material.
