My wool dreads are made of 100% silky merino wool. Hand Crafted—each dread is hand felted by me to ensure durability! Wool dreads are available in virtually any color.
Whether you desire a more “natural” look, or if you crave exquisitely vibrant hair, NifNaks dreads will do the trick!
NifNaks Dreads are Double-Ended
Double-ended dreads are essentially 2 dreadlocks in one! It is one long dread that is tapered on either side, so that when you braid it to your head, you’ll have two dreads for the same time it takes to braid one. Half the work, double the volume!
Why do some people prefer wool dreads to synthetic dreads?
Light as Air!
Unlike synthetic dreads, wool dreads are very light and comfortable to wear. Because of their light weight, they will not pull as much on your scalp like synthetic fibers.
Temperature Regulation & Breathability!
Wool fibers are hollow, so they will insulate your head on cold evening. But, because it is a natural fiber, it will also allow your head to breath on a scorching August day so you can explore the desert with ease and comfort.
Fire Resistant!
Wool is fire resistant, and therefore makes an excellent choice for fire performers or anyone getting close to heat and flames.
Extra benefits of Merino Wool:
Merino wool contain inherent anti-microbial properties. Unlike “traditional” wool, Merino is much finer, softer, and, best of all, itch-free (with exceptions with severe sensitivities or lanolin allergies).

Easy Dread Installation!
My wool dreads are very easy to install. If you are experienced at braiding your own hair, you might be able to install them yourself. However, it is easier and more enjoyable to have a friend help—especially with a good movie or two! Any friend will do, but ideally they should know how to do a basic braid. With the help of a friend, installing a full head of dreads will take 3-5 hours depending on experience.
